Quick update

Heather and Emilie moved out on Friday. Heather starts school on Monday and Emilie is going to Massace Therapy school in September. Michelle is now a Sophmore and loves not being a Freshman! John started 6th grade in the middle school. Debbie is teaching Kindergarten at GPA Charter. Dan is doing what he has been doing for a while. Carl... well... I'm not so sure. He probably started school this week.... I will call him soon.

We are all doing well!

Hello Everyone,
I hope you all enjoyed the holidays. I certainly did! Unfortunately, tomorrow is Monday and back to work and school. I do like my job teaching my 34 kindergarteners, but I'd still much rather be at home. I'm not sure what I would do all day at home now with all the children at school, but I'm sure I could find plenty of books to read. Anyway, I wish you all happiness in 2009.

Merry Christmas Everyone,
It looks like a white Christmas in Cedar. We have a sunny day today (Friday), but it is supposed to start snowing again on Monday.
John and I are home cleaning his room. Our last day of school was Wed. It has been very nice to stay home and clean. It's hard to clean and work full time.
Emilie and Michelle's last day is today. Heather had finals last week and Carl's have been this week. Carl is going to Ely on Saturday to bring my Mom here for Christmas. Carl is going to school at UVU in Orem. We are looking forward to having him home again. He was here quite a bit lately with Thanksgiving and Guard weekends.
Dan is sleeping because he worked last night and works tonight. He has been working at Dollar Tree also for the holidays.
Have a good day.

Michelle and Emilie's HUGE Christmas concert

This is Michelle blogging, just so you know.
Wind Ensamble and Madrigals
Soprano's. Emilie is the one in the black dress on the top row.

Violins... I am hiding behind the guy in the tux.

Sara Chappel singing a solo in Madrigals.

The whole orchestra.

Again, Michelle is behind the guy in the tux.

The jazz band.

I am on the top row... the one in the black dress with the shorter hair. The other girl in the black is my friend Katie. Mrs. Tawa let us wear our concert black for choir when everyone is wearing their white shirts.

Girls Glee

A sea of white with a speck of black.

This is the very last songs that we did. There is about 300 people on the stage.

Left side.

Wind Ensamble.
Every year at Canyon View High School, we do a huge combined Christmas concert. When I say huge, I mean every band, choir, and the orchestra. The audience is full, with some people standing. It is such an amazing concert. For the music department to do this is amazing. In many other schools, the people in the music department fight, and have their own separate concerts. We have done this for a long long time. This year we played Vivaldi's "Gloria." It is a 12 movement piece, but we only did 3 movements. It was very challenging to play, but in the end it was all worth it.
The very best thing about this concert was that I relized how much I love to play the violin. I have always loved it, but last night it really hit me. It is such a blessing to have music in my life. I use it everyday, and it makes me feel happy.
That is all for today!
